Cakes taste better at the dentist

By Celia Burns on 23rd September 2015

We do enjoy seeing our patients for their appointments, but we know that that our patients may not always be quite so keen – however gentle and friendly we are.

But for once, you can genuinely look forward to coming to the dentist, and we will be encouraging you to snack on sugary stuff as well! This Friday we are holding a coffee morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Care. It’s billed as the world’s biggest coffee morning, as individuals, groups and businesses get together to chat and enjoy a snack whilst helping to support the people who support the people who are affected by cancer.

Do come along between 10.30am and 1.00pm. There will be cakes, including gluten free, and coffee, tea and juice. We are donating £10 to Macmillan for every new patient who attends an appointment by the end of October booked on the day, and we will have a guess the spots on the cake sweepstake too.

Hope to see you on Friday!

My first love isn’t teeth; it’s people. That’s why I love being a dentist. It’s the best feeling in the world to be able to help an anxious patient, who has possibly avoided going to the dentist for many years, build their trust in me, and I get a real thrill from helping someone achieve the confidence in their smile that they want.
