If the results are to be natural looking it is paramount that this treatment is provided by a skilled practitioner who is knowledgeable and safe. Dentists and Dental Therapists are particularly well placed to do this as they trained for five years in the detailed form and working of the structures and organs of the head, face and neck. They are also able to give local anaesthetic for lip fillers, which makes the treatment much more comfortable.

What we say…
The number and type of wrinkles we get are affected by our genes, sun damage, smoking, some medicines, and our facial movements like frowning and smiling. They become more pronounced as we get older because the skin is thinner and drier, and is less good at springing back when it is stretched or creased.You can’t change your parents, and we definitely don’t want you to stop smiling. But there are lots of things you can do to reduce the rate at which you develop new wrinkles.

- use high factor sunscreen and good quality moisturiser
