About Dr Celia Burns, BDS (Bristol, UK)

My first love isn’t teeth; it’s people. It’s the best feeling in the world to be able to help an anxious patient to build their confidence. And as well as helping patients to achieve a healthy smile for life, I am a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentists.  I get a real thrill from doing the minimum cosmetic treatment to achieve the maximum cosmetic improvement.

I am an avid reader and have been in a book group for 15 years, but I also like to get outside; I have an allotment which I have not yet got the hang of – we tend to get large gluts at various points. The strawberries seem to get eaten ok, but I have been known to resort to making courgette cake and pickling my runner beans.

About Dr Hassan Kamal, BDS MSc (Endo) PGCert (Implantology)

My motivation in dentistry comes from relieving patients’ pain, alleviating their anxiety and restoring their ability to chew and smile with confidence. I have made a lifelong commitment to postgraduate education, developing my skills and pushing the boundaries in the fields I enjoy most. Having gained a master’s degree and completing many advanced courses in the fields of Endodontics and Implantology, my dentist colleagues have been entrusting me with the effective and efficient care their patients deserve, by referring patients to me since 2018.

One of the most fulfilling treatments my team and I provide is life-changing immediate full arch load (IFAL) implant treatment, which means patients who come into practice with broken down or loose teeth can leave with a completely new set of fixed teeth supported by implants, allowing them to smile, communicate and eat with confidence immediately afterwards.

I am an active member of the International Team for Implantology and the British Endodontic Society. By subscribing to dental journals in the fields of my interest, I am regularly kept up to date with the latest research and developments.

In my day-to-day practice, I endeavour to build and maintain excellent relationships with all my colleagues. Just as importantly, I strive to build a rapport with my patients and together with my nurse, aim to maintain a positive, encouraging and supportive environment in the treatment room at all times, with the patient journey being our central focus.

Outside of dentistry, cars are my passion – there’s nothing like the joy of driving on the windy roads of the beautiful countryside on a bright summer’s day. When I get the opportunity, I also really enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures and ways of life. But more than anything, I love to spend time with family and friends. I am a father to three beautiful children who are the apple of my eye.

About Dr Hassan Adi, BDS (Birmingham), MFDS RCS (Ed), MSc Implant Dentistry

For me, exceptional dentistry is never just about replacing teeth – it’s about restoring confidence, comfort and quality of life.

I qualified from the University of Birmingham and went on to complete further training with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, before undertaking a Master’s degree in Implant Dentistry. I now focus exclusively on dental implants, providing my patients with tailored solutions ranging from single tooth replacement to full mouth rehabilitation. My aim is to combine precision and predictability with a calm, considered approach – ensuring every patient feels confident and supported throughout their treatment journey.

My clinical background spans hospital-based maxillofacial surgery, community dentistry and general practice, giving me the experience to care for patients with a wide range of needs, including those who are anxious or require more complex support.

Alongside clinical practice, I have been involved in undergraduate teaching at the University of Birmingham, as well as examining postgraduate dentists undertaking Master’s-level training in implant dentistry. Supporting the development of clinicians at different stages of their careers has been a particularly rewarding part of my journey.

Outside of dentistry, I’m usually outdoors with my family – walking, exploring, and trying to keep up with the kids. It’s simple, busy, and at times full-on, but it’s exactly what helps me switch off, reset, and come back ready to give my best.

About Dr Kavit Kotehca, BDS(Bham), MSc Endodontics (Merit)

Throughout my career I have gained lots of experience working in both NHS and hospital settings, as well as in general dental practice – but my biggest passion is saving patients’ natural smiles.

That’s why I now limit my practice exclusively to root canal treatment. I have completed a Masters Degree in this field, and love providing my patients with exceptional outcomes and a comfortable, confident experience when saving their teeth.

Outside of dentistry, I’m married to my wife, whom I met on my very first day at university, and we have two wonderful young daughters who keep us very busy! When I have spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, running, and playing squash.

About Dr Sarah Hayat

What I love most about my job is engaging with a wide variety of different people, building a long term rapport with them, and helping nervous patients to overcome their fears. I always aim to understand my patients’ concerns and expectations before formulating a treatment plan tailored to them.

I have a particular interest in minimally invasive dentistry as I am passionate about preserving tooth structure. I have recently completed additional postgraduate training in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, which covered rising trends, the latest evidence-based procedures and new technology within the field.

I also have an interest in orthodontics and am able to provide fixed and aligner-based braces so my patients can benefit from straightening their teeth and have an improved smile.

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my three children, who keep me very busy. As a family we love to explore and engage in outdoor activities. I am a keen traveller and like to experience different cultures and cuisines.

About Dr Jaswinder Gill, BDS (London), LDS/RCS, DGDP

Dr Jaswinder Gill

I am passionate about delivering all aspects of my patients’ dental care, from keeping teeth and gums healthy to creating confident, natural-looking smiles. While I provide a full range of treatments, I have a particular interest in clear aligners and the transformative results they can achieve.

With over 25 years of experience, and a diploma in clear aligner treatment, I deliver care that is precise, comfortable, and effective. As an experienced provider of systems such as Invisalign and Angel Aligner, I’ve helped many patients straighten their teeth discreetly, and I always enjoy seeing how pleased they are with their results at the end of their journey.

Alongside treating patients, I also love helping other dentists achieve their best. When I’m not in clinic, I work as an international dental speaker, mentor, and judge for the FMC Private and Clinical Dentistry Awards. Sharing knowledge and supporting others to deliver outstanding patient care is really rewarding to me.

Outside of work, I enjoy supporting charitable initiatives and each year raise funds for Wells On Wheels through The Bollywood Dentist.

About Dr Vaishali Shah, BDS (Bristol)

I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2014 and have been passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centred dental care ever since. I grew up in Kenya before moving to the UK, which was a big change, but it has given me the opportunity to meet and care for patients from many different backgrounds.

One of the things I enjoy most about my job is helping patients who feel nervous or anxious about visiting the dentist. I believe that good communication and a warm, empathetic approach can make a real difference in helping patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their treatment.

Professionally, my greatest satisfaction comes from getting patients out of pain and saving natural teeth wherever possible. I have completed a Diploma in Primary Care Oral Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons, as well as a Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry, which allows me to combine surgical skills with restoring healthy, confident smiles.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy keeping active with early morning gym classes, spending time with my toddler daughter and our dog, and travelling and cooking with my husband.

About Mariam Naziri

I am Mariam, a Dental Hygienist and Therapist with expertise in preventative care and cosmetic procedures. I particularly enjoy providing composite bonding treatment, as I love transforming my patients’ smiles with natural-looking, long-lasting results. I always aim to deliver high quality dental care with warmth and compassion, to ensure my patients feel as comfortable and confident as possible.

When not at work, looking after my little boy keeps me very busy! I love spending quality time with my family and friends.

As a passionate advocate for oral health and a committed dental professional, I love bringing my knowledge and experience to the field of dental hygiene. I take pride in creating a warm, comfortable environment for patients of all ages. I like to take the time to educate my patients about the importance of oral health and collaborate with them to create personalised home care plans that promote long-term wellness.

When I’m not in the clinic, you can find me exploring the great outdoors, trying out new recipes, or spending time with my family and friends.

About Sarah Jacques

I have had a 30-year career in dentistry, with 25 of those years as a hygienist, and I truly love my role. Being a hygienist allows me to make a positive impact on my patients’ health, both dentally and holistically, which is something I am really passionate about.

I take great pride in helping anxious patients feel at ease, ensuring they have a comfortable and reassuring experience during their visits. Seeing patients overcome their fears and take control of their oral health is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.

Outside of work, I am a proud mum to two wonderful boys and a devoted cat mum to four furry companions. My weekends are spent enjoying walks in the park and cooking delicious meals to share with family and friends.
